To make setting up a store much easier for franchisees that are too busy to personally establish their own store we have developed a full turn key operation that removes every aspect of the operation  from the franchisee except for having to sign several documents.

While this turn-key system excels that of any shipping store franchise package offered by our competition, it still carries a price tag of approximately half that of Post Net and far less than half of The UPS Store.

Goin' Postal Franchise Corporation Turn Key Store Package

Franchisee will receive and execute a standard GPFC UFOC and Franchise Agreement and pay the standard Initial Franchise Fee of $15,000.

The franchisee will also purchase 2 point of sale systems for $7,500.

Franchisee will provide one check for a total of $22,500 for the Franchise Agreement and Point of Sale Systems. This is full payment for the initial franchise fee and point of sale systems.

The franchisee will also make a separate payment of $94,500 at the time of purchasing the franchise for a complete set up service package which is separate from the franchise. For this additional sum of $94,500 GPFC will provide the following services and products to the franchisee.

Deposit and cost overages
GPFC will pay fees and deposits and listed within the agreement and on the list of included items below. Any additional rent in excess of $8,500 will be paid by GPFC and immediately reimbursed by franchisee to GPFC upon invoicing via email. Until each invoice is paid no more expenditures will be made by GPFC in the establishing of the location. Franchisee may supply GPFC with a credit card for these overage fees.

Various situations  including geographical location and franchisees credit may influence excessive costs real estate costs.

Franchisee will be required to execute certain documents when necessary.

Location and lease assistance
Franchisee will choose a town or area within which they would like to locate their store. GPFC will use its best efforts to locate premises for the store in the chosen area initially using real estate brokers.

Franchisee may assist GPFC by scouting the area for potential locations and provide these to GPFC.

Once a selection of suitable locations has been found, a GPFC representative will visit and approve the location. It is recommended that the franchisee attend these visits to also approve the location. The franchisee will sign off on the location as acceptable after the visit.

Once the location is approved, GPFC will negotiate the lease for the franchisee. The franchisee may choose to negotiate the lease for franchisee but GPFC will not be involved if he chooses to do so. The lease will be negotiated using the franchisees personal information and credit. GPFC does not counter sign or act as guarantor on leases.

GPFC will pay up to a total of $8,500 to lease the location including broker's fees, security deposits, and lease payments.

Any additional costs and fees to lease the location will be paid for by the franchisee (it is very unusual for a location to incur expenses in excess of $8,500).

GPFC and its brokers will use their best efforts to negotiate the lease for the chosen location. If in its opinion the lease cannot be negotiated to a point where it would make a feasible business location GPFC will find another location. If GPFC feels the lease is suitable but franchisee refuses to sign the lease franchisee will be responsible for finding another location and negotiating the new lease. GPFC will still pay up to the limit of $8,500 on franchisees location minus any expenses incurred negotiating the first lease.

Incorporation and business licenses.
GPFC will pay expenses incurred in providing basic incorporation services for franchisee and will obtain franchisees Federal tax ID number, state sales tax number and local business licenses. Franchisee will pick his incorporated name and GPFC will use this as closely as possible dependent on availability. Franchisee will act as his own agent for process of service.

Insurance
GPFC will procure basic liability and hazard coverage in the franchisees name.

Utilities
GPFC will establish utility accounts in franchisees name for electricity, telephone, garbage and sewer and will pay any deposits necessary.

Build out
GPFC will arrange and pay for the franchisees store build-out. This cost is based on a standard 1,200 square foot location. If franchisee wishes to have a larger store, franchisee will be billed for additional materials and furniture in excess of that necessary for a 1200 foot store.

The build out includes the following:

  • Carpet and tile

  • Painting & decorating

  • Wall units with lighting

  • 3 place counter and cash wrap

  • Slat-wall

  • Rear Wall

  • Box shelves and storage

  • Middle island

  • 2 units of mailboxes (60 boxes)

  • Packaging table and area

  • Peanut hopper

  • Shelves

  • Interior signage

Exterior signs
GPFC will pay for exterior signage for franchisees location. Signs will be based on lease requirements. If a monument or pylon sign is available at the roadside, GPFC will pay up to $500 for panels for this sign which is included in the turn-key option.

Copier
GPFC will purchase two Konica Minolta copiers on the franchisees behalf and have them delivered to the franchisees store. One copier will be a fully loaded color copier with document feeder, duplex, hole punch, network print kit, and booklet maker.  The 2nd copier will be a standard black and white copier with an automatic document feeder.  Franchisee will be responsible for maintaining a maintenance agreement on this copier.

Stock, signage, decorating etc.
GPFC will provide all stock as detailed in the list below to ready the store for opening.

Inspections
GPFC will have all necessary inspections carried out to obtain permission to open the store.

Franchisee will be booked for training when store is scheduled to be finished and will return to store ready to open.
